Art Therapy for Eating Disorders

(6 weeks)

The Art of Healing

In this group, we’ll be using art to reflect upon and guide our healing journeys. Within the supportive environment of a group and with the guidance of a professional art therapist, we will create art each week using a variety of different materials, in response to a theme or prompt. It is important to know that we will be engaging with the art materials in a spontaneous, reflective and self-soothing manner, so no previous art experience or skill is required.

What to expect each session:

1. An art-based check-in to share visually or verbally how we are feeling

2. A brief introduction or description of the weekly prompt/directive

3. Creating art

4. Time to share and/or process our art

Don’t consider yourself an artist? No worries! This group requires no prior artistic experience or skill.

We genuinely want you to get the most out of these sessions. We know life happens, so if you’re unable to attend, just let us know so we can offer the spot to someone else and explore other ways we can support you.
