Parent & Loved Ones
WORKSHOP #2
Our first workshop focused on understanding an ED on a deeper level and touched upon the theory of what would be helpful in treatment. Parents who attended had many questions about the practical “how to” steps of chaperoning a child through treatment.
In this workshop, we shall take some time to attend to the practical parts of treatment, understanding the concept of “recovery” and what it looks like at the end of the road.
Anxiety, Panic Attacks and Co-regulation – What does “pacing with anxiety” look like?
The Meal Plan as a Tool in Recovery – The significance of the dietitian in treatment
What does sustainable recovery look like? How do we get there
This 3-hour workshop is designed to help parents understand these hidden dynamics, explore why certain strategies may not always seem effective, and provide the tools you need to support your child’s recovery. It’s also a chance for parents to share their challenges and ask questions about any aspect of treatment and recovery.
This group is intended for parents of children ages 10 - 30
